A HIVE OF BUSY BEES A Hive of Busy Bees
These books provide a number of character- building lessons for children with themes such as "Bee Careful," "Bee Orderly," and "Bee diligent."  The books center around two brother-and-sister pairs from the city (cousins of each other) who each spend a different summer on their grandparent's farm. These two books have been very popular for many years.

THE MANDIE SERIES The Mandie Series
The Mandie series of books is the longest-running and most-popular series of Christian fiction for children. The stories center around a young girl named Mandie, often set in rural North Carolina around the turn of the 19th century. The Mandie series stresses simple story lines with a clear moral.

THE SUGAR CREEK GANG The Sugar Creek Gang
The Sugar Creek Gang series chronicles the adventures of a group of Christian boys. These fictional stories were inspired by the author's memories of his childhood spent in the woods that surround Indiana's Sugar Creek.  The current editions of the Sugar Creek Gang have been updated from the originals, the first of which appeared in 1940.

THE PATRICIA ST. JOHN'S BOOKS The Patricia St. John Books
Patricia St. John is the author of a number of very popular books for children. She was born in 1919 in England and served as a missionary nurse for 27 years. She traveled in Europe, North Africa, and the Middle East, as the settings of her novels reflect. Her books have been popular for many years and have been translated into numerous foreign languages.
